Mentor Coordinator Report

Stories & Quotes To Share:
March was a packed month! We had 4+ weeks of meetings. It was great to get a rhythm going for our matches. So many exciting things happening. One of our seniors found out she got accepted in Purdue, one into Western and some also got jobs! A lot of excitement around these big moments. I kept hearing “March isn’t so bad, I get to see my mentor more than ever” Loved having the consistency. The past few months have been broken up due to time off and long weekends and flood days. It was great to have a month of 4 weeks of meetings.
Highlights:
March 4th we had an Open House at FHS from 5:30-7:00 for the incoming freshman. It was a wonderful opportunity for BTO to reach out to the incoming Class of 2030. I had some students interested in the program and I will follow up with them in the fall of 2026.
March 19th we had a New Mentor Orientation where 6 adults attended and 5 are joining Be The One so far. I am so happy we still have interested people in our community willing to support our students.
We also had 3 new matches start up. It looks like these 3 have a solid connection so far. Such a joy to see the pairs hit it off.
Upcoming:
April 6 -10th Spring Break
April 15-17th BTO Interviews in the Learning Commons
April 22- ½ Day – No matches
May 7th- Sunset Cruise out of the Fairhaven Ferry Terminal- we are so excited for this.
Number of Current Matches: 56
