Mentor Coordinator Report

Stories & Quotes To Share:
This month was short for us at FHS. We had 1 week of finals so no matches met. Then the following week we had 3 days off so only a few matches met and the final week of the month was the new semester, so not all were able to meet due to schedule changes.
It was hard for many of our students not to see their mentor. Each day various mentees stopped by my office inquiring when they could see their mentor. I am glad they stopped by and tried to help any of them that just needed someone to listen to what was going on. It gave me a chance to spend time with many of the mentees, which was nice for me.
Highlights:
Many of our mentees do extra-curricular activities. Some mentors went to support them in their activity. A couple of the mentors went and supported our mentees that wrestle while others watched their mentees cheer at a home game. A few mentors enjoyed their mentees performances at a musical event at FHS. All these moments matter to our students.
We are experiencing a huge influx of interested mentors and mentees who are joining our program. It is so exciting to witness.
Upcoming:
We have Kindness Week coming up the 2nd week of February. Tolo is February 8th which is fun for our students. Our 2nd semester is underway so I am hoping for a great few months of matches connecting and making memories. We have 10 seniors in our program, we honor them as they finish out their high school career.
Number of Current Matches: 41
