Saturday School is Principal Ian Freeman’s brilliant idea. He wanted to make a hearty breakfast and homework help available to LHS student’s once a month. We are told some students come for the hot breakfast and end up staying due to the great positive atmosphere of the study hall!
Last Saturday 24 students student’s participated. Thanks to NHS volunteers who make homework help possible.
A special shout out this week to Lynden Safeway for donating the food and to Woods Coffee for donating the hot drinks. Breakfast was cooked and served by Nancy and Denny McHarness, our “up for anything” and hugely generous partners in the Be The One Mentoring Program.
