Mentor Coordinator Report

Stories & Quotes To Share:
The Ripple Effect of Mentoring
We are really starting to see some momentum with Be the One at NVHS this fall. One of our
mentors has been so inspired by his time at NVHS that he couldn’t keep it to himself. He’s
shared his experience with his wife and a co-worker, encouraging them to step into the
mentoring journey too. For him, it’s been both a joy personally and a way to make a real
difference in the community—and now, both his wife and co-worker are in the process of
becoming mentors this fall.
A Recipe for Connection
One of my mentees found herself torn—she didn’t want to miss her foods class, but she
also didn’t want to miss her time with her mentor. After a quick chat with her teacher, we
found the perfect solution: the mentor could join the class. Problem solved! Since then, the
two have had a blast in the kitchen during their meetups, so far whipping up waffles and
berry muffins together.
