What are my giving options?
- Pillars – Annual multi-year commitments
Make a commitment to give annually. If you are a business owner and would like to receive a pledge statement, please email us at BeTheOne@PartnersForSchools.org. We would be honored to assist you. - Partners – Recurring monthly/quarterly donors
The lifeblood of our mission is the steady support of individuals. We invite you to choose an amount you can give consistently over the long haul — because our students will always need dependable access to caring adult mentors. - Friends – One-time donors
Thank you for believing that youth in our community are worth investing in. Your gift makes a difference right now!
We focus on cultivating local community engagement to build sustainable financial support for our school based mentoring programs.
Why? Because no one cares about our kids like we do.
What is the money used for?
The average cost of one school program is $68,000 annually.
Community donations provide a contribution to the school district designated to fund the Mentor Coordinator position on campus. Additional funding supports:
- Mentor/mentee t-shirts
- Program software
- Supplies & games
- End-of-year celebration events
These essentials help create a safe, consistent, and meaningful mentoring experience for every student and their mentor.
Why is a Mentor Coordinator needed on campus?
Safety, consistency, and student success are central to our mission. A professional, school-based Mentor Coordinator is required to ensure each mentoring relationship is healthy and effective.
This trained school employee:
Has appropriate access to students, records, and schedules
Creates thoughtful mentor-student matches
Conducts mentor background checks
Provides orientations and training
Offers coaching on relationship challenges
Manages scheduling and program operations
A full-time Mentor Coordinator can support 50–70 mentoring relationships—that’s up to 140 people with unique schedules and needs.
Why Community Gifts = Sustainable Funding?
Mentoring is a long-term investment that builds resilient, motivated students. Research shows the most significant impact emerges in the second year and beyond, which means sustainable funding is essential.
We intentionally choose a community-funded model for long-term stability. Grants for youth mentoring come and go, but our students need consistent support.
We invite you to make a long-term commitment:
Pick an amount, turn it on, and leave it on.
Your steady giving ensures students experience the lasting support they deserve.
