I heard so many of our mentees declare what a great year it has been with my mentor. We have 15 matches ending due to graduation. Staying in touch after graduation will be happening to most of these matches. “So glad we are able to exchange numbers now that I am graduating. I know we will meet for coffee and catch up” Another mentee said “my mentor is so important to me, I am glad I get to see her next year” Another one of my favorites quotes was “thank you Be The One for making this relationship happen- I really needed my mentor”
Highlights:
Our end of the year cruise was definitely the highlight of May. It was the first time Ferndale did the cruise and it was EPIC! The kids could not believe they got to go on a SUNSET CRUISE. Many of them had never been on one before. The weather was perfect, yummy food thanks to Fred Meyer and Miracle Food Network. We played some games, had some wonderful prizes and all in all it was fantastic. The kids talked about it for the next week, they kept thanking me. We are very thankful for the grant we received to make it happen. The staff at San Juan Cruises were great as well.
